HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE
Want to know how to tell what skin type you have and find out which products are best suited for you? Take a moment to review the different skin types below and choose one that best describes you.
Keep in mind that your skin type can change a few times over the course of your life as your body goes through significant hormonal shifts. Schedule a complimentary consultation to determine your true skin type.You don't have to use a lot of products to get results but you do need to use the RIGHT products for your skinā€™s current conditions.

ASSESSING SKIN:
First, determine your skin type.Ā 
Each skin type will have varying levels of sebum production, pore size, density range and tonality. The easiest way to determine your skin type is to see how it performs from morning to evening on a typical day.Ā 

END-OF-DAY SKIN RESULTS SKIN TYPE
Does your face feel predominantly oily and look shiny? Oily skin
Is your T-zone shimmering, but the rest of your face is mostly matte? Combination skin
Do you have minimal oil or redness, or none at all? Normal skin
Is your skin flaky or tight all day long? Dry skin

SKIN TYPE: OILY
Characterized by oily surface, enlarged pores, thicker density, generally needs to blot oil from skin or touch up powder by midday. This skin type requires a careful blend of AHA and BHA pore-clearing exfoliants, along with antiseptic botanicals to effectively keep pores clean and free.

SKIN TYPE: COMBINATION
Oil production mostly in the t-zone but may experience tightness, redness or irritation, especially when using harsh, drying products. This skin type experiences some breakouts and clogged pores. It requires a careful blend of antibacterial BHAs and soothing botanicals for oil- free hydration.

SKIN TYPE: NORMAL
Characterized by some oil production in the summer but may feel dry or tight in the winter. This type experiences redness on occasion and requires gentle exfoliants and soothing nourishment and hydrating antioxidants help to prevent signs of visible aging.

SKIN TYPE: DRY
Dry and tight feeling all year-round. This skin type looks dull, tired, is in need of a glow and may have loss of elasticity. It requires energizing ingredients, firming peptides and a high concentration of AHA exfoliants to boost cellular turnover and even out the complexion.

Once you have determine your skin type, let's now determine the CURRENT CONDITION OF YOUR SKIN.

DEHYDRATION Characterized as dullness, lack of glow, superficial linesĀ SENSITIVITY/REDNESS Characterized as reactive, inflamedĀ skin, broken vessels/capillaries, flushes easily to touch.

ACNEĀ Varies from mild to severe breakout, either under the skin or activated and inflamed.Ā Ā 

BLACKHEADS/CLOGGING Characterized as plugged up pores, little bumps, rough texture.

ROSACEA
Characterized as inflamed, red skin with bumps or acne and may have broken capillaries, constricted vascular condition.

HYPERPIGMENTATION
Varies from some mild uneven discolourationĀ to brown spots that may be triggered by sun exposure and/or hormone imbalance.
